During the month of July, the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) fair was held, which took place in Chicago, Usa. This annual event is considered the most important worldwide food ingredients sector, with 23,000 participants and more than 1,000 exhibiting companies.
The main objective of our visit was to contact various companies manufacturing chemical specialties to propose to work together, allowing them to expand the portfolio of Tepuy Chemicals for the food industry. In addition, we held meetings with some represented to establish action plans for both Venezuela and the Caribbean. A total of 15 meetings were held with potential and current representatives, including Glanbia, CP Kelco, AAK, JRS and Kemin. In general we managed to get very good receptivity from the companies, as many of the potential represented decided to join us in the markets we serve.
Next year the fair will be held in New Orleans, USA, and we hope that Tepuy Chemicals will be here again to exploit the new trends in food.
